Vanessa Vargas is an artist, an avid thrift shopper and a fantasy-obsessed reader. Residing a short twenty-minute bus ride from NYC, she enjoys exploring her home state of New Jersey with her medium format cameras as well as finding live music events in the city on the weekends.
FIRST ENCOUNTER WITH PHOTOGRAPHY: Throughout her childhood, Vanessa spent her free time secretly taking out the family camera to play with. It wasn’t until her parents got their family vacation photos printed that they began to notice the few frames of stuffed animal set ups and portraits. Shortly after that Vanessa was given her first camera - a plum-colored Nikon Coolpix - and the rest is history.
