Alexandra is an artist from San Juan, Puerto Rico. She obtained her BFA in Photography from Rhode Island School of Design and relocated to New York, where she has spent over a decade retouching for fashion photographers, blue chip galleries, post-production studios, and magazine corporations. Off the tablet, she divides her time between making art, going to every concert possible, spending QT with her friends & family, and serving as a pujari for her local Gaudiya Vaishnava temple. She’s a die-hard Ricky Martin fan, loves all things luxury, and has a penchant for round animals.
FIRST ENCOUNTER WITH PHOTOGRAPHY: Alexandra’s first memory of photography is going through photo albums and being fascinated with how people changed. Her first (and favorite) memory of being a photographer is recording road trips with her mom, then sitting down together to “crit” her “work.” Her first camera was Barbie’s 110 film point & shoot, before making the transition to digital with Nintendo’s Game Boy Camera.
GUILTY PLEASURES WHILE RETOUCHING: True crime podcasts or [not] holding back tears during heartwarming reality TV. No guilt. All pleasure.
