Nicholas Pothetes,
Senior Retoucher
Nicholas grew up in Oregon where he received his BA in Journalism from the University of Oregon. Following this he worked in Portland, OR for almost a decade retouching for clients such as Nike, Adidas, Vogue, and Gucci. It was also here that Nick met his soon to be husband Bailey. Nick and Bailey moved to Atlanta, GA in 2020 where they adopted their pit bull puppy Ella. Nicholas’ family is Greek and French. His mother’s side is from New Oreleans, and his father’s family is from the island of Samos, located off the Turkish coast in the Aegean Sea. Nicholas and Bailey dream of one day having a small home on Samos where they can farm olives and let Ella play with goats.
FIRST ENCOUNTER WITH PHOTOGRAPHY: Nick was a freshman in high school when he took his first photography class. His parents gifted him a red Nikon Coolpix 2000 and he found a great new joy in portrait photography. He especially loved retouching himself and his friends into super moody teen vampires, fangs and all!
GUILTY PLEASURES WHILE RETOUCHING: In times of peak stress Nicholas will listen to Enya and pretend he’s Outlander’s Claire Fraser, time traveling through the highlands of Scotland with Jamie.
