When not in front of a computer retouching images he can be found in front of a computer in his art studio. Favorite moments include spending time at the Large Hadron Collider in Switzerland while on an artist residency and being the sole retoucher for Calvin Klein's 463-page book.
FIRST ENCOUNTER WITH PHOTOGRAPHY: Travis became an early adopter of Photoshop in the late 90s using an Imacon Flextight film scanner to make large scale works. The files were so big (1 gigabyte) that it took the Power Mac G3 over 30 minutes to save.
GUILTY PLEASURES WHILE RETOUCHING: Partaking in the office espresso machine multiple times a day. Listening to audiobooks with dystopian narratives or podcasts about new technologies such as neural networks.
